HR was overwhelmed . . .
Our HR team was overwhelmed with conducting investigations. We resisted using an outside person or firm for our internal employee matters, but its been the best decision. We decide with Ann Marie how investigations will be conducted, and work with those involved to determine whether mediation or facilitation might help resolve the issue. At the end, we either have a resolution or a realistic legal opinion. We have not had a single EEOC complaint or litigation since we started using ARG.
Facilitation saved our project . . .
We weren't sure about using facilitation, but our work group was getting dysfunctional. In a matter of days Ann Marie helped us to work through underlying issues that had been plaguing us for months. Without facilitation we would have missed our deadline and likely lost our client.
Our experience with Advance Resolution Group . . .
We are a large company, employing hundreds of workers in many different levels. Our HR department was often chasing down complaints ranging from clashing personalities/work styles to harassment. Even after the time and money spent trying to investigate these claims, many resulted in loss of employees and, sometimes, EEOC complaints and lawsuits. Advance Resolution Group structured a program that allows a neutral third party to investigate the situation, and provide HR and legal with a roadmap. Often Ms. Byers was able to mediate the dispute, allowing the employees to get back to work without feeling compromised. We have saved time, money, and human resources by utilizing this program.
